Oregon vs. USC Pick
The Ducks still can’t convince the computer that they’re the best team in the nation, even though the AP ranks them numero uno. Oregon will have another chance to prove the BCS computer wrong, as they hit the road to take on USC this Saturday at 8:00PM ET. Check out our free pick of tonight’s game.
Oddsmakers from online sports book Sportsbook.com have made Oregon a 6.5-point favorite over USC in Week 9. The over/under total for this game is currently 71 whopping points.
Let’s get to our free pick.
The Ducks are 7-0 this year and have covered in five of their first seven games. They’re also a perfect 3-0 on the road, although both times they failed to cover this season has been on the road.
The Trojans are 5-2 straight up and 4-3 against the number this season. They’re 2-1 at home this year but have failed to cover in two of those three games at the Coliseum.
Our Week 9 Pick:
There’s nothing that the Trojans want to do more than to knock off Oregon like the Ducks did to them last year. The Ducks are just 2-5 against the number in the last seven meetings between these two teams, while the home team is 4-0 ATS in the last four overall meetings. While USC’s defense will have its hands full with the Ducks’ defense, Matt Barkley and company should be able to keep pace with the Oregon offense. We see this game going right down to the wire and while we won’t predict an outright win, we like the Trojans to cover. Our free pick for this Pac-10 battle is the Trojans.
