According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Memphis is the favorite on the road in this game, as the Tigers are getting odds of -8.5 points against South Florida. The over/under total for the contest has been set at 62 points. Memphis has won three of its last four against South Florida and the road team has covered the spread in six straight in this series.

Memphis is 4-0 on the season, 1-0 in the AAC, 2-2 against the spread and 4-0 with the over. The Tigers are 4-0 on the season with wins over Missouri State, Kansas, Bowling Green and Cincinnati. Memphis is putting up 53.8 points and 570.2 yards per game on offense while the defense is giving up 29.2 points and 453.8 yards per contest. Memphis is being led by Paxton Lynch, who has thrown for 1,230 yards and eight touchdowns. Receivers Anthony Miller and Mose Frazier have combined for 31 catches for 516 yards and three touchdowns.

South Florida is playing in its conference opener. The Bulls are 1-2 on the season, 2-1 against the spread and 1-1-1 with the over/under total. USF opened with a 51-3 win over Florida A&M, but the Bulls have since lost to Florida State and Maryland. The Bulls are only putting up 27.3 points per game this year, but the defense is holding opponents to just 24 points and 344.7 yards per game. The USF offense is led by Marlon Mack, who has 285 rushing yards with a touchdown. Quinton Flowers has added 326 passing yards with five touchdowns while rushing for 186 yards and two scores.
