South Carolina is coming off an 11-2 season in 2013 where it went 6-2 in conference play. Texas A&M was 9-4 last year and 4-4 in the SEC. These two have yet to meet since the Aggies joined the SEC.

The over/under total for the game has been set at 57.5 points (View Matchup). The opening odds for this game had South Carolina favored by 12 points. The spread slowly worked down to its current point of -10. The over/under total opened at 58 points and hit a low of 57 before bumping up to 57.5.
South Carolin comes into this season with a new starting quarterback in Dylan Thompson, but a reliable running back in Mike Davis, who had 1,183 yards last year. The Gamecocks have three starters back on the offensive line as well, but are dealing with two injuries in the middle of the unit. Defensively, South Carolina has six starters back from a group that allowed just 20.3 points and 350 yards per game. Sophomore linebacker Skai Moore could have a big year after picking up 56 tackles and four interceptions in 2013.
The Aggies need a new identity with Johnny Manziel gone. Now leading the team will be Kenny Hill, a sophomore that saw limited action last year. He has a strong line in front of him, but is breaking in a new starting running back and receivers. Malcome Kennedy will be expected to step up at receiver after catching 60 passes for 658 yards in 2013. On defense, A&M should be stronger than the 32.2 points and 475.8 yards it allowed a year ago. Frankly, the Aggies will have to be much better. Eight starters are back, led by safety Howard Matthews, who had 90 tackles and three interceptions last season.

In terms of Injuries, South Carolina tackle Mike Matulis (knee) is doubtful for the game while center Cody Waldrup (oblique) is questionable. Texas A&M defensive back Victor Davis is suspended indefeinitely.
