LAS VEGAS, NV (The Spread) – Will Ohio State quarterback Braxton Miller win the 2014 Heisman Trophy Award? Oddsmakers apparently like his chances.

According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, Miller has 11/2 odds to win the 2014 Heisman Trophy, which give him the same odds as Oregon signal-caller Marcus Mariota. The only player that has better odds than those two quarterbacks is the defending Heisman Trophy winner Jameis Winston, who is currently 5/2 to take home the honors for the second straight year.
Miller has had quite the career at Ohio State, playing in 36 games over the last three years and posting a career rating of 145.6 over that time frame. He’s also completed 58.6 percent of his passes for 5,292 yards with 52 touchdowns and 17 interceptions. He’s also rushed for 3,054 yards on 557 carries and 32 touchdowns.
Ohio State currently has odds of -105 to make the four-team playoff in college football next year and -135 to be on the outside looking in. That means that if you wager on the Buckeyes to make the playoffs, you’ll win $100.00 for every $105.00 that you wager (provided that you win the bet, of course). If they miss the playoffs, you’ll win $100.00 for every $135.00 that you wagered on them not to crack the final four.
The Buckeyes also have 9/1 odds to win the 2014-2015 College Football FBS Championship, placing them behind Florida State (9/2), Alabama (6/1) and Oregon (13/2).
