Arkansas vs. Auburn Free Pick
AUBURN, AL (The Spread) – After making an appearance in the championship game a year ago, Auburn looks to build off the success it had in 2013 when it opens its season today versus Arkansas.

The Tigers were one of the biggest and best surprises of college football in 2013, as Gus Malzahn led Auburn to a national title appearance versus Florida State. Led by returning starter Nick Marshall at quarterback, the Tigers are one of the few SEC teams that boasts an experienced quarterback heading into 2014. The strength of this Auburn team remains Malzahn’s rushing attack, which will have to replace leading rusher Tre Mason (NFL/Rams).
On the other side, Arkansas will head into its second year under coach Bret Bielema, who posted a horrific 3-9 record in his first season in Fayetteville. That recorded included an 0-8 mark in conference play and a seventh-place finish in the West Division. If the Razorbacks are going to erase the memories of that horrible 2013 campaign, then junior quarterback Brandon Allen better rebound after being plagued by a shoulder injury for much of last season.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, Auburn is currently an 18.5-point favorite versus Arkansas today, while the over/under total is sitting at 58 points. The Tigers opened as 21-point favorites but the spread has been bet down, while the total has gone from 57 up to 58.
