UCLA: The Bruins are a perfect 3-0 this season but they’ve failed to cover the spread in all three of their games. They beat Virginia 28-20 as an 18-point favorite in Week 1, Memphis 42-35 as a 22-point favorite in Week 2, and Texas 20-17 as an 8.5-point favorite in Week 3. The biggest news facing UCLA is whether or not quarterback Brett Hundley will be healthy to play tonight. Coach Jim Mora has been mum on the topic but if Hundley can’t go, then Jerry Neuheisel will draw the start after he threw for two touchdowns in that win over the Longhorns two weeks ago.
ARIZONA STATE: The Sun Devils are 3-0 to start the year but just 1-2 against the spread. The under has covered in two of the team’s first three games as D.J. Foster has a team-high 510 rushing yards and six touchdowns. Taylor Kelly has also thrown for 625 yards while Jaelen Strong leads the team in receiving with 266 yards. In their latest victory, the Sun Devils beat Colorado 38-24 but failed to cover as a 15.5-point road favorite. The under 68.5 hit in ASU’s victory. Kelly won’t play tonight after suffering a right foot injury suffered against Colorado.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, UCLA is a 4-point favorite over Arizona State, while the total for tonight’s game is currently sitting at 60.5 points. The Bruins opened as 3-point favorites before the line jumped up, while the total opened at 60 before also climbing up slightly.
