2013 BCS National Champion Odds – Alabama Favored After Week 3

(The Spread) – The 2012 College Football Season had some big upsets this past weekend. Here is an updated look at the odds to win the BCS National Championship.

Entering last week, USC was a 3/1 favorite along with Alabama to win the national title. The Trojans lost on Saturday to Stanford and have now dropped back to 12/1 odds to win it all.

According to the oddsmakers, the Crimson Tide are the favorite to win the title, as they have 2/1 odds to win. Other short odds to win are LSU (3/1), Oregon (8/1) and Florida State (8/1).

Alabama is 3-0 this season and the top-ranked team in the country. The Crimson Tide continued to show their dominance on Saturday, as they destroyed Arkansas, 52-0. Alabama has outscored its three opponents 128-14. Alabama will host Florida Atlantic on Saturday.

LSU is No. 2 in the rankings and 3-0 on the season. The Tigers defeated Idaho, 63-14 last week. LSU will now hit the road for the first time on Saturday to face the BCS champions of two years ago, Auburn.

Oregon is No. 3 in the rankings. The Ducks rolled past Tennessee Tech, 63-14, last week. The Ducks are averaging nearly 600 yards of offense per game and have scored 162 points in three games. Oregon will host Arizona this week.

Florida State is No. 4 in the rankings and 3-0 on the year after a 52-0 win over Wake Forest. The Seminoles have outscored their three opponents 176-3 this season. FSU gets a big jump in competition this week, as it hosts No. 10 Clemson.
