(The Spread) – The fifth week of the 2012 College Football Season lacks in big games, but still has plenty of contests that can peak your betting interest. Here is a look at the odds for this week.

The featured game of the week comes in the Big Ten, which has No. 20 Michigan State hosting No. 14 Ohio State at 3:30PM ET. According to oddsmakers from Bovada.lv, the Spartans are a 1.5-point favorite at home for this contest. This is the first Big Ten game for both teams. Michigan State is 3-1 overall, 2-1 at home, and 1-3 against the spread. Ohio State is The Buckeyes are 4-0 overall and playing in their first road game. They are also just 1-3 against the spread. MSU hasn’t beaten Ohio State in back-to-back years since 1998 & 99.
The other featured game of the weekend has No. 9 West Virginia hosting No. 25 Baylor at Noon ET. Due to some injury issues, the spread has not been listed for this game yet. West Virginia is 3-0 overall this year, 2-0 at home and 1-2 against the spread. Baylor is 3-0 overall, 1-0 on the road, and 1-2 against the spread. This will be the first Big 12 game for WVU and the first meeting between these two teams.
