According to oddsmakers from Bodog, Alabama is the favorite to win the SEC with odds of 3/2. Other short odds to win are LSU (7/2), South Carolina (9/2), and Georgia (9/2).
Alabama won the national and SEC titles in 2009. Last year, the Crimson Tide went 5-3 in the SEC and finished fourth in the West Division. They have claimed 22 SEC titles in total, but will be losing key pieces like Greg McElroy and Mark Ingram on offense.
LSU won the national championship in 2007, it was also the last time the Tigers won the SEC. Last year, LSU was 6-2 in conference play, which tied for second in the West.
South Carolina is the defending East Division champion, which is their lone division title. The Gamecocks have never won a SEC championship in program history, but they do return a lot of top talent, including running back Marcus Lattimore.
Georgia has won the SEC 12 times, with the last coming in 2005. The Bulldogs struggled last year, going just 3-5 in conference play. Georgia has one of the top quarterbacks in the league in Aaron Murray, who threw for 3,049 yards and 24 touchdowns with just 8 interceptions last season.
