When it comes to Public Betting over 12,000 wagers have been placed on this game. The odds for the contest came out later in the week due to the looming suspensions of some key players for LSU.
LSU will be without quarterback Jordan Jefferson and receiver Russell Shephard, as they were both suspended for off-the-field issues, but the Tigers are still getting 44% of the wagers against the defending national championship runner-up in Oregon.
The spread opened with Oregon favored by 4 points, but has actually moved back to 3.5 points in order to entice betting. Apparently the strong LSU defense has fans believing that the Tigers can stay competitive despite to key offensive pieces.
