Wisconsin is coming off a share of the Big Ten title in 2011 as the Badgers went 11-2 overall and 7-1 in conference play. This season, Wisconsin returns 14 starters for sixth-year coach, Brett Bielema.

Penn State is entering its 46th season with Joe Paterno as head coach. The Nittany Lions were 7-6 in 2010 with a 4-4 Big Ten record. Penn State will have 15 starters back this season, but lost a number of key players from the 2010 squad.

Ohio State had earned a share of last year’s Big Ten title, but the university vacated the wins after admitting to NCAA rules violations. The Buckeyes were 12-1 last season and 7-1 in conference play. This season, Jim Tressel is gone and the Buckeyes have a number of starters from last year missing, including Terrelle Pryor.
