BRONX, NY (TheSpread) – Syracuse is playing in its first bowl game since 2004 while Kansas State is in its first bowl since 2006 as the two meet in the 2010 Pinstripe Bowl.

Opening odds actually had Kansas State favored by 3 points but the spread quickly dropped and moved to Syracuse being favored by 1. The over/under total opened at 47 points and has since added a point.
Syracuse dropped three of its last four games in the regular season and was held to 13 points or less in their last three games. The Orange are averaging just 21 points per game on offense, but the defense is one of the best in the country, giving up just 18.1 points per game. Their strength comes in their pass defense, which gives up just 157.6 yards per game. The team is led by running back Delone Carter, who has rushed for 1,010 yards and seven touchdowns.
Kansas State started the year at 4-0 but the Wildcats dropped four of their last six games to end the season. The Wildcats posted impressive offensive numbers, averaging 33.6 points per game, but the defense is allowing 28.5 points per contest. K-State averages 206 rushing yards per game but also gives up 229.1 yards per game on the ground. Daniel Thomas has rushed for 1,471 yards and 16 touchdowns this season to lead the Wildcats.
In terms of injuries, Kansas State receiver Tramaine Thompson is questionable with a leg injury while Syracuse receiver Van Chew is questionable with a groin injury.
