NEW ORLEANS, LA (TheSpread) – The final game of the opening day of the College Football Bowl Season is Ohio taking on Troy in the New Orleans Bowl.

Troy won their last two games of the season to get to 7-5 on the year. The Trojans are averaging 288.2 passing yards per game on the season, which is the 12th best passing attack in the nation. As a total offense, Troy ranks 24th at over 440 yards per game. Corey Robinson is leading the team with 3,320 passing yards and 24 touchdowns. On defense, Troy struggles, giving up over 400 yards per game including 170.8 rushing yards per contest.
Ohio won 7-straight games before losing to Kent State to end the season. The loss kept the Bobcats from playing for the MAC Championship. On the season, Ohio has been led by its defense, which averages just 330 yards per game on defense, which ranks 27th nationally. On offense, the Bobcats struggle, ranking 91st in the country at just over 320 yards per game. Boo Jackson is leading the team with 1,688 yards and 15 touchdowns, but also has 16 interceptions. Jackson may be unable to play on Saturday due to academic issues.
In terms of injuries, Ohio safety Gerald Moore is questionable with a foot injury while Troy offensive lineman Jacob Creech is questionable with a shoulder injury.
