TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) – Arizona State faced a gloomy offseason.
Carrick Felix was graduating, Jahii Carson was considering the NBA and Evan Gordon decided to transfer.
A few months later, things couldn’t look much better for the Sun Devils.
Carson announced in April that he’s returning to Tempe and last week, Arizona State added guard Jermaine Marshall, a graduate transfer who was Penn State’s second-leading scorer last season.
Arizona State also will add Richie Edwards, a 6-7 forward who sat out last season after transferring from Valparaiso, and guard Brandan Kearney, a transfer from Michigan State who will be eligible to play at the start of the Pac-12 season.
The new-look Sun Devils also will get a chance to bond next month during an 11-day tour through China.
