LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) -Louisville forward Derrick Caracter was suspended indefinitely Monday for a curfew violation.
Coach Rick Pitino said Caracter violated curfew Saturday night, a few hours after the sophomore had 16 points and seven rebounds in the 22nd-ranked Cardinals’ 70-65 loss to Dayton.
Pitino said Caracter needs to make dramatic changes in his life. The suspension further depletes a Louisville lineup already missing seniors David Padgett and Juan Palacios, who are out with injuries.
Caracter was suspended several times for various reasons the first half of his freshman season.
The Cardinals’ next game is Saturday against Purdue.
