AMES, Iowa (AP) – Former Michigan State guard Korie Lucious is transferring to Iowa State.
Iowa State says Lucious signed a financial aid agreement with the school Wednesday. Lucious, a junior, will redshirt next season and use his final year of eligibility in 2012-13.
Lucious was suspended by Michigan State coach Tom Izzo earlier this season for conduct detrimental to the program. The 5-foot-11 guard from Milwaukee helped the Spartans reach the Final Four the past two seasons and averaged 6.5 points in 18 games this year.
Lucious is the second Spartans guard to transfer to Iowa State for his final season under first-year coach Fred Hoiberg. Chris Allen is redshirting this season and will play for the Cyclones in 2011-12.
