RICHMOND, Va. (AP) -Folarin Campbell scored 20 points and hit 7 of 8 free throws in the final 1:09 Saturday night as George Mason preserved a 63-52 victory against Northeastern in the quarterfinals of the Colonial Athletic Association tournament.
The third-seeded Patriots (21-10) moved on to a meeting with second-seeded North Carolina-Wilmington in the semifinals on Sunday at the Richmond Coliseum.
Northeastern finished 14-17.
George Mason used a 14-2 run over 7:42 of the first half to take a 23-13 lead. The Patriots led 33-20 at the intermission and the Huskies never got closer than five.
Will Thomas added 17 points and eight rebounds for George Mason, which dominated the boards 32-19. The Patriots shot nearly 55 percent, 60 percent in the second half.
Chaisson Allen and Eugene Spates led the Huskies with 11 points each, and Manny Adako and Matt Janning each scored 10.
