YPSILANTI, Mich. (AP) -Eastern Michigan coach Charles Ramsey is serving a three-day suspension for what the school says was a “postgame altercation” last month.
The Ypsilanti school says associate coach Derrick McDowell will lead the Eagles (1-6) in Monday night’s home game against Wayne State.
A statement from Eastern Michigan athletic director Derrick Gragg says the incident happened Nov. 22 after the Eagles’ 62-47 road loss to the University of Detroit.
The statement didn’t have any further details, and The Associated Press left a message for school spokesman Jim Streeter seeking comment.
