GREENVILLE, S.C. (AP) -Stephen Curry injured his left ankle halfway through the second half, but Davidson held on without the nation’s leading scorer in a 75-60 win over Furman on Saturday.
Curry, who had 25 points, left the game with 9:20 remaining after twisting his left ankle as he was driving to the basket.
It was unclear how long Curry could be out. Davidson spokesman Marc Gignac said he will be evaluated on Sunday.
He was 6-for-15 from the field and 9-for-10 from the foul line. Andrew Lovedale chipped in with 13 points and nine rebounds for the Wildcats (22-4, 15-1 Southern Conference).
8-57 lead with 3:03 remaining. Furman (6-19, 4-12) only made three free throws the rest of the game.
Curry leads the nation in scoring with 29.1 points per game.
