Anthony Mason Jr., the Red Storm’s leading returning scorer and rebounder, played for the first time this season after missing three games with a sprained left ankle. With 14 minutes to play he was knocked to the court and when he got up he was limping, favoring the same leg he had injured in practice. Mason, who never returned to the game, had four points on 2-for-9 shooting in 20 minutes.
