Pittsburgh is still No. 1 in The Associated Press’ college basketball poll, and Wake Forest has jumped to second after its win over North Carolina.
The Panthers received all but two of the first-place votes from the 72-member national media panel on Monday. The others went to the Demon Deacons, who moved up two places after handing the Tar Heels their second straight conference loss.
Duke dropped to third and Connecticut moved up to fourth. North Carolina was fifth followed by Oklahoma, Michigan State, Syracuse, UCLA and Clemson. California was 22nd, its first Top 25 appearance since March 2003.
