In this week’s latest top 25, Villanova made the jump five spots from No. 11 to No. 6 thanks to a 72-63 win over Seton Hall and a 60-55 win at Butler last week. The Wildcats are now riding a six-game win streak.

According to oddsmakers from oddsmakers at BetDSI, Villanova is now listed with 14/1 odds to win this year’s NCAA Tournament. The Wildcats have the seventh shortest odds to win it all. Kansas is currently favored with 13/2 odds to win.

The Wildcats are now 14-2 on the season, 4-0 in the Big East and 9-5-1 against the spread. Their two losses came to No. 2 Oklahoma and No. 13 Virginia. Villanova has a relatively light schedule ahead with its next game against a ranked opponent coming on Jan. 23 at home vs. Providence. Villanova has won the NCAA Tournament one time, which came in 1985. The Wildcats last reached the Final Four in 2009.
