Red Raiders drop third straight
Texas Tech fell by a score of 65-60 Wednesday night at DePaul to drop to 5-3 overall and 0-1 on the road. The Red Raiders were outscored 30-27 in the second half and 12-7 in the extra session. Terrence Shannon Jr. paced Texas Tech with 24 points on 9-of-18 shooting including 2-of-6 from 3-point range plus 4-of-5 at the free throw line. He also contributed eight rebounds and two assists. Kyler Edwards accounted for 12 points, seven boards and two blocked shots. Davide Moretti added 10 points and two steals.
Cardinals roll past Panthers
Louisville raced to a 64-46 home win Friday night over Pittsburgh to move to 9-0 overall and 2-0 in the Atlantic Coast Conference. The Cardinals led 35-21 at halftime en route to the victory. Jordan Nwora led Louisville with 19 points on 7-of-12 shooting including 2-of-5 from 3-point distance plus 3-of-4 at the charity stripe. He also notched six rebounds, two assists and two steals. Malik Williams registered 13 points and 11 boards off the bench. Ryan McMahon added 11 points, three caroms and two assists.
College Basketball Betting Trends
Texas Tech
The Red Raiders are 1-4 ATS in their last five games overall. Texas Tech is 5-2 ATS in its last seven games following a straight up loss.
Louisville
The Cardinals are 4-1 AATS in their last five games after allowing 50 or more points in their previous games. Louisville is 16-5-2 ATS in its last 23 Tuesday games.
Prediction:
The Cardinals are top five nationally in both offensive and defensive adjusted efficiency. While Texas Tech can keep up for the most part on the defensive end, its offensive efficiency has lagged behind this season so far. The Red Raiders have lost their last three games with two on neutral courts and one away, the last two in OT. While the last three opponents were decent enough, the step up in competition is pretty severe today. I expect Louisville to be ready for the big stage and cover this spread.
