Ducks stunned by Cougars
Oregon lost 72-61 Thursday night at Washington State to drop to 14-4 overall and 3-2 in the Pac-12 Conference. The Ducks were outscored 38-24 in the second half after leading by three at the break. Payton Pritchard paced Oregon with 22 points on 8-of-15 shooting including 3-of-7 from 3-point distance plus 3-of-4 at the free throw line. He also notched five rebounds and five assists. Chris Duarte added 15 points, five boards and five steals.
Huskies down Beavers
Washington secured a 64-56 victory Thursday night at home over Oregon State to improve to 12-6 overall and 2-3 in conference action. The Huskies led 31-21 at halftime en route to the triumph. Isaiah Stewart paced Washington with 13 points on 6-of-9 shooting plus 1-of-1 at the charity stripe. He also registered five rebounds and four blocked shots. Raequan Battle contributed 11 points, three steals, two boards and two assists. Jamal Bey had 11 points, three dimes and two rebounds. College Basketball Betting Trends
Oregon
The Ducks are 12-3 ATS in their last 15 road games. Oregon is 7-2 ATS in its last nine Saturday games.
Washington
The Huskies are 0-4 ATS in their last four games as an underdog. Washington is 0-4 ATS in its last four Saturday games.
Prediction:
If Oregon can lose at Washington State, it feels ripe for the taking at a Huskies squad that can lean on their defense to make any opponent feel uncomfortable. Washington has lost twice at home, but one was to top-ranked Gonzaga and the other was by a slim 66-64 margin versus UCLA. I see fading the Ducks two days after their loss to a subpar Washington State squad as the smart way to go in this spot.
