Our NCAA College Basketball Live Odds page pulls spreads and totals from multiple different online sportsbooks so you can compare betting odds to ensure you’re getting the best line.
Public Betting Trends
According to oddsmakers from online sportsbook BetNow.eu, the Wolfpack are 9.5-point favorites to beat the Pride. The total, meanwhile, sits at 162.5 points and as of this writing, 69% of the public betting tickets wagered at online sportsbooks are on the Pride to cover the point spread.
Hofstra Pride
The Pride turned in an excellent regular season, finishing atop the Colional Standings with a 27-7 record. They also were sound against the spread this year, posting a 20-13 ATS record in lined games. That said, Northeastern ended Hofstra’s season in the conference tournament, beating the Pride 82-74 as a 2.5-point favorite. That loss ended the Pride’s dreams of advancing to the NCAA tournament, where they would have been considered one of the dark horse sleepers to make a run.
N.C. State Wolfpack
The Wolfpack finished in the middle of the ACC standings this year, they did have a successful season, finishing 22-11 straight up and 20-13 against the spread. Their season ended in the ACC tournament, losing as an 11.5-point underdog to Virginia, 76-56. In fact, the Wolfpack lost in three of their final five games, although they did stage a dramatic comeback against Clemson in the opening round of the ACC tournament before failing to the Cavaliers in the second.
Prediction
The over is 13-3 in the Pride’s last 16 games overall and 5-2 in their last seven road games but they’re stepping up in class and thus, the total is too high for tonight’s game. The under is 5-0 in the Wolfpack’s last five games and cashed in six of their previous five home games. The under is also 4-1 in Hofstra’s last five non-conference games so when you get the Pride out of CAA action, the under has been the better play.
NIT Prediction: Hofstra/NC State under 162.5
