Four Small CBB Schools to Bet Thursday
Don’t overlook these four small college basketball programs when filling out your betting card Thursday night.
Cal Poly SLO at UC Riverside, 10:00 p.m. ET
According to oddsmakers from online sports book YouWager, UC Riverside is now a 4-point home favorite to knock off Cal Poly, which opened as 4.5-point underdogs. The Mustangs have struggled at the betting window in this series, posting a 3-7 ATS record in their last 10 games versus the Highlanders. Cal Poly is also 1-8-2 at the betting window in its last 11 road games, is 17-39-2 ATS in its last 58 games overall, and is just 14-37-2 against the spread in its last 53 conference games. On the other side, the HIghlanders are a perfect 5-0 against the number in their last five games coming off a loss and have covered in six of their last eight games overall.

After this game hit the board as a pick’em, the line rocketed to Quinnipiac -3.5. The favorite is 6-2 against the spread in the last eight meetings between these two teams while the Bobcats are 4-1-1 against the spread in their last seven games when facing an opponent with a losing record. Meanwhile, the Saints are winless at 0-6-1 ATS in their last seven games when facing an opponent with a win percentage below .400.

After opening as a 5-point home favorite, the Gamecocks are now -6.5 to beat the Golden Eagles tonight in conference tournament play. Tennessee Tech is just 1-4 at the betting window in its last five games versus Jacksonville State and has failed to cover the spread in nine of its last 12 games coming off a win. Meanwhile, the Gamecocks are a perfect 7-0 against the number in their last seven neutral site games and are 12-4 ATS in their last 16 games when facing a team with a winning record.
