Michigan vs. Duke Free Pick
MAUI, HI (The Spread) – A pair of ranked teams collide at the Maui Invitational tonight when No. 15 Michigan takes on No. 6 Duke at 7:00PM ET.
ODDS: Oddsmakers have installed Duke as a 7-point favorite over Michigan for tonight’s game, while the over/under total is currently sitting at 134 points. The Wolverines are 4-0 overall and 1-0 at a neutral site after blasting Memphis on Monday, while the Blue Devils are 5-0 and 2-0 at a neutral site.
LINE MOVEMENT: Duke opened as a 6.5-point favorite at most books but is now up to –7, while the over/under total is sitting at either 133.5 or 134 depending on what book you use. Given Duke’s popularity among casual bettors, it wouldn’t be surprising to see the spread climb even more before tip off.

PUBLIC BETTING: Of the 500-plus wagers placed on tonight’s game, 62% of college basketball public bettors currently favor the Wolverines. This information is subject to change, however, so make sure you click on the link provided for the most up-to-date public betting numbers.
FREE PICK: Take Michigan. I underestimated the Wolverines on Monday and I won’t do it again two days in a row. Even without Darius Morris (NBA draft) the Wolverines haven’t missed a beat thanks to freshman Trey Burke. Michigan doesn’t have the scorers that Duke does but its defense should be able to keep things tight. The Wolverines took the Blue Devils to the wire in the second round of the NCAA Tournament last spring before falling 73-71 so they have it in them to hang with Duke. According to latest college basketball trends, Michigan is now 5-0 against the spread in its last five neutral site games and 6-1 ATS in its last seven non-conference tilts.
