BOSTON (AP) -Kendrick Perkins and Tony Allen are expected to be sidelined at least another week for the Boston Celtics.
They missed Monday night’s game against the Toronto Raptors, who were without two injured starters – forward Jermaine O’Neal and guard Jose Calderon.
Perkins, the Celtics’ starting center, missed his second straight game Monday night with a sore left shoulder. Allen, who comes off the bench, was sidelined for the fifth consecutive game with a strained right ankle.
O’Neal missed his eighth straight game with a sore right knee. Calderon missed the game after returning from a four-game absence Sunday, also against the Celtics, because of a strained right hamstring. Boston won that game 94-88 in Toronto.
