SAN ANTONIO (AP) -Spurs coach Gregg Popovich isn’t saying whether Tony Parker or George Hill will start at point guard in the playoff opener Sunday night in Dallas.
Parker came off the bench all six games after returning from a broken bone in his right hand. However, Hill aggravated a sprained right ankle in the season finale.
Popovich said Friday he will “see what happens … see how it goes.”
The decisions are two-fold.
First, Popovich must determine whether Hill can play at all. He participated in part of practice Friday and is considered a game-time decision.
If he can play, then Popovich will have to decide his starter.
Parker said he’s fine with whatever role the coach wants him to play. He added that he expects Hill to play.
