NEW ORLEANS (AP) -The New Orleans Hornets lost starters Peja Stojakovic and Morris Peterson during the first half of their game against the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday night.
Team spokesman Scott Hall said at halftime that Stojakovic would miss the second half with a strained left groin, while Peterson went out with the same lower back strain that caused him to miss the second half of the Hornets’ loss to Detroit on Wednesday night.
Peterson tried to come back against Memphis, but played only 5:38 of the first quarter before heading back to the bench without scoring.
Stojakovic played nearly 17 minutes during the first half, scoring nine points, including a 3-pointer.
