SEATTLE (AP) -Milwaukee Bucks forward David Noel had surgery on his right wrist Friday, and doctors confirmed he has nothing more than a sprain.
Noel underwent the surgery at the University of North Carolina Orthopedics in Chapel Hill, N.C. Noel has been inactive in all 17 games this season, and injured his wrist during a practice in Cleveland on Nov. 20.
Noel is expected to miss at least the next four to six weeks.
“There was a chance that it could have been worse … it could have been a season thing. I’m actually a little optimistic that we got that news,” Bucks coach Larry Krystkowiak said.
Milwaukee was also without forward Bobby Simmons, who left the team in Seattle on Thursday and returned to Milwaukee for a personal matter. The Bucks don’t know if Simmons will rejoin the team for the final two games of their West Coast road trip. The Bucks play Sunday in Portland and Monday in Sacramento before returning home.
