SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -Utah Jazz forward Andrei Kirilenko left the game against Minnesota midway through the second quarter because of a sore right ankle and was not expected to return.
Kirilenko, who averages 12.9 points and 5.9 rebounds, played almost nine minutes and had five points and blocked shot when he left the court with a slight limp and headed to the locker room.
The Russian missed consecutive games in early December because of pain in the same ankle.
The Jazz have already lost 116 player games to injury this season. Kirilenko will be evaluated again on Wednesday.
