NEW ORLEANS (AP) -Sacramento Kings guard and second-leading scorer Tyreke Evans appeared to injure his right leg while making a layup at the end of the first quarter against the New Orleans Hornets on Tuesday night.
Evans was bumped by Hornets center Emeka Okafor as he made the layup, though contact appeared to be light and no foul was called. Evans then crashed to the court and remained down for several minutes while being examined by trainers. He then limped to the locker room on his own.
His status for the remainder of the game was not immediately clear.
Evans entered the game averaging 19.9 points, five rebounds and 4.9 assists.
