MIAMI (AP) -Even with the free-agent bonanza of 2010 looming, Miami owner Micky Arison believes Dwyane Wade will be starring with the Heat for many years to come.
While he was “disappointed” that a contract extension wasn’t agreed to this past offseason, Arison said Tuesday that he has “every indication” Wade wants to remain in Miami for the duration of his career.
Wade likely will be one of the headline names in next summer’s free-agent class. He has said he likely will exercise his right to be a free agent, but also has insisted he has no designs on leaving Miami – which would be able to pay him around $30 million more than any other team.
