OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) – Golden State guard Stephen Curry has left the Warriors’ game against the Los Angeles Clippers after re-injuring his right ankle.
Curry was hurt while trying to get around a pick set by Blake Griffin with 6:03 left in the third quarter. He rolled his right foot and immediately fell to the floor in pain. When play was halted trainers rushed out to Curry, who lay on the court for several moments while surrounded by teammates and coach Keith Smart.
He eventually was helped to his feet and limped slowly off the court Friday night.
It’s the same ankle that Curry hurt in the preseason and aggravated in Golden State’s 132-128 season-opening win over the Houston Rockets on Wednesday.
