BOSTON (AP) -Celtics forward Brian Scalabrine underwent surgery Wednesday to remove scar tissue in his right hand.
The surgery, which the Celtics said was successful, was performed at New England Baptist Hospital in Boston.
Scalabrine has missed 13 straight games with a strained left hamstring and won’t play in Boston’s final game of the season Wednesday night against the Detroit Pistons.
He averaged four points in 54 games this season.
