PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) -There are not a lot of absolutes right now for the Portland Trail Blazers.
Not only is their opponent for the first round of the playoffs still undecided, the status of All-Star guard Brandon Roy is a mystery.
An MRI on Monday revealed that Roy had a torn meniscus in his right knee. He won’t play in the team’s regular season finale against Golden State on Wednesday night, and after that, it’s anybody’s guess.
Roy will be reevaluated on Friday. If it’s not too sore, Roy says he’ll try to play because doctors have assured him it can’t get any worse.
Portland’s seeding in the playoffs is as yet undetermined, although the team’s victory Monday night over Oklahoma City assured the Blazers of no worse than the seventh seed.
