The Wizards are off to an incredible start to the season at 5-1 and Beal is only getting warmed up.

Trae Young told reporters that he is frustrated by the number of “missed calls” from referees this season. This season, the NBA has implemented adjustments to officiating in hopes of cracking down on non-basketball moves designed to draw contact. The impact on Young has been dramatic early on. Last season, Young averaged 12.6 free-throw attempts per 100 possessions. This season, he is averaging 6.3 free-throw attempts per 100 possessions. “There’s a lot of missed calls,” Young said. “It’s basketball. It’s just, it feels that they’re learning, and they’re just — I don’t know. It’s frustrating.”
