Stephen Curry hit 14-of-23 shots for 35 points, 11 rebounds, seven dimes, five triples, two steals and an unfortunate seven turnovers across 37 minutes in Thursday’s loss to the Nuggets. Curry had it going from the jump, hitting his first four shots and dropping in a quick nine points in the first three minutes of play. This was his sixth 30-point performance of the season, and he’s currently No. 3 in the league in scoring at 28.4 points per game. Curry’s been a stud this season, but the Warriors have been inconsistent as a team, and he spoke to that after the game. “We’ve had some good days [and] some bad days. Twelve games in, we gotta understand what we can do better, especially offensively… There’s no panic. Just understanding we are 12 games into a new lineup and a new look.”

LeBron James (left ankle sprain) finished Friday’s win vs. the Pelicans with 21 points (6-of-11 FGs, 7-of-7 FTs), eight rebounds, 11 assists, two 3-pointers and one steal in 31 minutes. One of these days, LBJ might actually miss a game with a legitimate injury. For now, though, the Lakers are content to keep him on the injury report with a phantom ankle injury that’s yet to cost him any games. He’s 36 years old and coming off a championship, followed by the shortest offseason in NBA history, so fantasy GMs have to be thrilled that he’s playing in every game and racking up huge stats along the way. More defensive stats would be nice (0.8 steals, 0.4 blocks), but let’s not get greedy.
