Portland Trail Blazers DFS Spin
Damian Lillard hit just 3-of-14 shots and missed all eight of his 3-point attempts on Wednesday, but salvaged his fantasy line by hitting 14-of-15 free throws for 20 points, five rebounds, four assists and a steal. The Clippers blew the Blazers out of the gym and only C.J. McCollum looked like himself in this one. Lillard hit 4-of-12 shots for nine points in the opener and then bounced back with back-to-back 30-point games. He’ll be fine and has a fun matchup with Stephen Curry on New Years Day at 10:30 p.m.
Golden State Warriors DFS Spin
Draymond Green (foot/conditioning) is listed as probable for Friday’s game against the Blazers. There was originally some hope that Green would have been able to make his season debut last Sunday against the Bulls, but the decision was made to sit him for two more games. The veteran forward also had some conditioning issues to work through, which is to be expected given how much time he missed. Green’s return will most impact Juan Toscano-Anderson and Eric Paschall, as the former has been starting at the power forward spot. Neither offered much in the way of consistent fantasy value with extended minutes, so don’t expect much from Toscano-Anderson or Paschall as reserves.
Trail Blazers vs. Warriors Betting Prediction
The Trail Blazers are just 10-24 against the spread in their last 34 road games versus the Warriors and are 1-3-1 against the number in their last five series meetings with Golden State. Portland has failed to cover in six of its last eight games overall and is 1-4 against the spread in its last five games coming off a loss as well. The Warriors have not been profitable for bettors but with Green returning and the team catching four points on their home court, I’m backing the dog tonight.
