The Lakers are laying 12 points as a home favorite tonight versus the visiting Thunder at 10:00 p.m. ET. Will they cover that number or are the Thunder the better play as the road dog despite being 4-6 over their last 10 games?

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander shot 12-of-22 from the field and 5-of-6 from the foul line in Saturday’s win over the Timberwolves, accounting for 31 points, nine rebounds, seven assists, one steal and two 3-pointers in 34 minutes. Gilgeous-Alexander was back in the starting lineup after missing the prior two games due to a sprained left knee, and there was no minutes limit for him to deal with, either. With D’Angelo Russell getting the night off, SGA feasted no matter who the Timberwolves assigned to him defensively. Gilgeous-Alexander is providing fourth-round value in both 8- and 9-cat formats, and that will likely be his fantasy floor as long as he stays healthy.

Anthony Davis (right Achilles tendonosis) is questionable for Monday’s game vs. the Thunder. Davis played 45 minutes on Saturday and there’s no reason to think this is a serious ailment. As noted by Lakers writer Harrison Faigen, AD has already been on the injury report with a quad bruise, knee bruise, calf bruise, adductor strain, ankle sprain and ankle bruise — all on the right side of his body. The Lakers’ injury report tends to be useless, in other words, and for now fantasy managers should expect to see Davis in uniform as usual.
Thunder vs. Lakers Betting Prediction
The Thunder have covered the spread in four of their last five road games versus the Lakers and are 9-3 against the number in their last 12 road games overall. They’re also 25-9 against the number in their last 34 road games as the underdog and have cashed in 40 of their last 59 games playing on one day of rest. The Lakers, meanwhile, are 2-5 against the spread in their last seven home games, are 2-5 against the number in their last seven games as a favorite and have failed to cover in five of their last seven games overall.
