Phoenix Suns DFS Notes
Devin Booker scored 17 points on an efficient 7-of-12 shooting (2-of-5 3-pointers) and added seven dimes, four rebounds, and one steal as the Suns beat the Nuggets 126-97 on Sunday night. Booker has been as cool as the other side of the pillow during this 13-game win streak, and really for the entirety of the season. He has only scored 30 or more points twice this season, and he is on pace for his lowest-scoring season since the 2016-2017 season, which was just his second in the NBA. The Suns added some depth this summer in JaVale McGee and Elfrid Payton, but the edition of Landry Shamet has been especially helpful in taking some of the load off of Booker on the wing. On Sunday Booker tallied 7 dimes, which helps the lower scoring numbers, and Phoenix won their 12th straight so everyone wins.
San Antonio Spurs DFS Notes
Following his return to action Thursday night, Jakob Poeltl (protocols/conditioning) said he felt “pretty good conditioning-wise.” Poeltl had missed seven straight games after testing positive for Covid-19 but made his return in Thursday’s loss to the Wolves. He’s on a minutes restriction and logged just 15 minutes, tallying two points, two rebounds, one assist and one block. “I honestly felt pretty good conditioning-wise,” Poeltl said after the game. “But I feel like I still need to get my rhythm again. It’s kind of weird playing these short, limited minutes. It’s tough to get into the game.”
