Phoenix Suns DFS Spin
Cameron Payne (right ankle sprain) is listed as questionable for Wednesday’s game against the Rockets. Payne played 17 minutes in Monday’s loss to the Grizzlies, accounting for five points, two rebounds, four assists and one 3-pointer. He isn’t worth rostering in most leagues right now, but his availability will impact Langston Galloway (nine minutes on Monday) the most. Jevon Carter should remain in the rotation no matter what, thanks to his ability as a defender.
Houston Rockets DFS Spin
John Wall (sore left knee) has been ruled out for Wednesday’s game vs. the Suns. The Rockets have opened the season 4-8, and if the losses continue to pile up, Wall could see lots of random rest days in his future. He is in the process of coming back from a serious injury and two-year absence, so expect Houston to be cautious with him. Look for Victor Oladipo to again be rocking a heavy usage rate tomorrow night.
Suns vs. Rockets Betting Prediction
The Suns have covered the spread in six of their last eight games versus the Rockets and are 22-8 against the number in their last 30 trips to Houston. They’re also 8-3 against the spread in their last 11 road games, are 9-4 against the number in their last 13 games as a favorite and have cashed in 15 of their last 20 games overall.
The Rockets, meanwhile, are 2-7 against the spread in their last nine home games, are 1-4 against the number in their last five games overall and are 1-4 at the betting window in their last five games as an underdog.
