Derrick White dropped a season-high 24 points (10-of-21 FGs, 1-of-1) in a 116-99 win vs. the Wizards on Monday, adding five rebounds, five dimes, one steal, one block and three triples in 33 minutes. White had an 18-point explosion in the third quarter, the most points he’s ever scored in a single quarter — his previous record was 16. After a very frustrating start to the season, the patience of his fantasy managers is starting to pay dividends as White has been a top-35 player in 9-cat over his last six games.
Portland Trail Blazers DFS Notes
Damian Lillard will miss at least the next 10 days with lower abdominal tendinopathy, as his recent MRI revealed, per Shams Charania of The Athletic. This news will keep Dame out for at least the next four games, with the very soonest he returns being on Sunday, December 12 against the Minnesota Timberwolves. This isn’t a new injury by any means as Lillard has just been battling through it for the majority of the year, but his night off yesterday was obviously not just due to rest. Anfernee Simons should be a hot pickup with this (still available in 71% of Yahoo! leagues) while CJ McCollum will be Portland’s main man for the time being.
