Rockets vs. Timberwolves Pick
The Rockets have won nine of 10 but will they cover against the Timberwolves tonight at 8:00PM ET coming off back-to-back games?
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Rockets are 3-point road favorites versus the Timberwolves while the over/under is sitting at 218.5 points. As of this writing, Houston opened as a 4-point favorite but the line was bet down to 3, while the total hit the board at 219 before being bet down to 218.5.
In the Rockets’ win over the Hornets on Tuesday night, James Harden scored 40 points, with 15 rebounds, 10 assists and seven 3-pointers in 38 minutes. He hit 11-of-24 shots and 11-of-14 free throws, with only four turnovers. Harden now has 11 triple-doubles on the season, has triple-doubled in back-to-back games, and has also done so in three of his last five games.
Zach LaVine (left hip contusion) was a limited participant during Tuesday’s practice and is being listed as questionable for tonight’s game against the Rockets. He’s day-to-day with the injury and if he’s out, Kris Dunn could move into the starting five. Karl-Anthony Towns, meanwhile, is coming off a 34-point effort in Monday’s win over the Mavericks.
