Pascal Siakam finished with 33 points (11-of-16 FGs, 8-of-9 FTs), nine rebounds, four assists and three triples in a 125-114 win over Atlanta on Friday. Siakam has been in a groove offensively, coming into Friday with averages of 22.1 points, 6.3 dimes and 1.0 triples for the past month. It’s been his defense that has stood out to coach Nick Nurse the most though.”[However] there’s blocked shots, there are defensive plays being made on the perimeter and at the basket by him. He’s long and he’s athletic and he’s quick, and those are the things that stood out to me,” Nurse said. In that same stretch, Siakam grabbed 8.9 boards with 2.2 steals and 0.8 blocks, good for top-20 value in 9-cat.
Charlotte Hornets DFS Notes
Gordon Hayward missed all seven of his shot attempts in Saturday’s 104-86 loss to the Heat, going scoreless with three rebounds and two assists in 22 minutes. In his second game back after missing time due to COVID-19, Hayward had one of the worst nights of his NBA career. He missed all seven of his field-goal attempts and didn’t offer much else before getting benched after playing 22 minutes. We’ve seen this with athletes making their way back from COVID-19 in the past, as some need more time to get back into a groove than others. Hayward will look to get back on track Monday night when the Hornets host the Raptors.
