Toronto Raptors DFS Notes
Fred VanVleet (knee) returned from a one-game absence vs. Charlotte on Friday and was held to eight points (3-of-12 FGs) with four assists, one rebound, two blocks and two triples in 29 minutes. VanVleet said before the game that he’s not feeling as well as he hoped he would after some time off, so the Raptors will need to be careful here. Those massive workloads we were accustomed to before the break may no longer be a given, but we wouldn’t put it past coach Nick Nurse. With a 5-game week coming up, it’ll be interesting to see if he’s able to play in all five.
Atlanta Hawks DFS Notes
John Collins (right foot strain) will not play in Saturday’s game against the Raptors. That makes five straight games that Collins has not been able to play in, and it’s not the best news that he didn’t even receive a questionable/doubtful tag before being ruled out. Danilo Gallinari will continue to be more relevant in fantasy hoops, and while he has some consistency issues, he’s worth rostering while Collins is nursing his injury.
Raptors vs. Hawks NBA Betting Prediction
The Raptors are 9-1 against the spread in their last 10 games following an ATS loss, are 9-1 against the number in their last 10 games playing the second game of a back-to-back and are 8-2 at the window in their last 10 games as an underdog. On the other side, the Hawks are just 1-5 against the spread in their last six games after scoring 100 points or more in their previous game and are 1-4 against the number in their last five games versus a team with a winning record.
