Pistons a home dog vs. Cavs
The Cleveland Cavaliers are a road favorite tonight at 7:30PM ET when they face the Detroit Pistons, but covering in Detroit has been a rare occurrence.
According to oddsmakers at RealBets, the Cavaliers are a 4.5-point road favorite heading into Detroit tonight. The over/under total for the contest has been listed at 206.5 points.
The Pistons (25-21, 25-20-1 ATS) have had some bad losses on the road, but are 15-7 overall at home and an impressive 15-6-1 ATS at The Palace. The Pistons are also 22-7-1 ATS in their last 30 home games, dating back to last season. As a home underdog this season, Detroit is 4-2-1 ATS and they are 18-11-1 ATS as a home underdog since 2014. That includes a 104-99 win over the Cavs back on Nov. 17 in which Detroit was also a 4.5-point underdog.
Cleveland (32-12, 19-23-2 ATS) hasn’t been tremendous on the road either, as they are just 14-9 overall and 9-12-2 ATS. The Cavs are 6-11-1 ATS as a road favorite this season and they are also just 1-4 ATS in their last 5 against Central opponents. Detroit should be up for a shot at Cleveland, while the Cavs may not be up for the Pistons, who still are establishing themselves as a potential Eastern Conference contender.
