76ers vs. Hornets Prediction
The 76ers currently sit in the No. 3 spot in the Eastern Conference following a big win over the Bucks that helped them clinch a playoff spot. Laying only a point on Tuesday night in Charlotte, will they stay focused and beat the lowly Hornets at 7:00 p.m. ET?

Public Betting Trends
According to oddsmakers from online sportsbook BetNow.eu, the 76ers are 1-point favorites to beat the Hornets. The total, meanwhile, sits at 224.5 points and as of this writing, 73% of the public betting tickets wagered at online sportsbooks are on the 76ers to cover the point spread.
Philadelphia 76ers Fantasy Spin
Joel Embiid registered a monster 40-point, 15-rebound double-double during a 130-125 win in Milwaukee on Sunday, but he’ll be rested on Tuesday as a precaution. The Bucks simply had no answers for Embiid, and he added four 3-pointers, six assists, three steals, one block and just one turnover through his 36 minutes of floor time. The 76ers are currently on a four-game winning streak and are 6-1 when they have all their main guys healthy. The win tonight brought their season record to 45-25, which officially secures them a playoff berth out East. Fantasy owners are looking at a two-game week from their stud center next week, though, as he’s expected to play vs. the Celtics (Wednesday) and Hawks (Saturday).
Charlotte Hornets Fantasy Spin
Bismack Biyombo failed to do much through 17 minutes as a starter sans Cody Zeller (knee) on Sunday, finishing with just two points, six boards, one block and two turnovers. Biyombo hasn’t been all that effective over his past two games as a starter with averages of just 6.5 points, 5.0 boards, 1.0 block and 1.0 turnover per contest. He’s splitting the five-man minutes with Frank Kaminsky, who finished with 13 points (3-of-10 FGs, 7-of-9 FTs), seven rebounds, one assist and one turnover, but both those guys are too inconsistent to trust in standard settings.
NBA Betting Trends
Philadelphia
The 76ers are 5-2 against the spread in their last seven games after allowing 100 points or more in their previous contest.
Charlotte
The Hornets have failed to cover the spread in six of their last seven games overall and are 1-4 against the number in their last five games versus Eastern Conference foes.
Prediction
This is a letdown spot for the 76ers, who are just 1-5 against the spread in their last six games after scoring more than 125 points in their previous contest and are 1-5 against the number in their last six games versus an opponent with a losing record. The Hornets, meanwhile, have covered in six of their last eight home games coming off a road trip of seven or more days. They’re also 4-1-1 ATS in their last six games following a loss of more than 10 points.
