Farmers Insurance Open Predictions
The 2019 Farmers Insurance Open features a number of big names and will begin play on Thursday morning. Here’s some of the golfers we think will contend for the win this weekend.
According to the latest oddsmakers, Jon Rahm is the favorite this weekend, as he is getting odds of 10/1. Other short odds to win are Justin Rose, Jason Day, Rory McIlroy and Tiger Woods, who each have 14/1 odds. The Farmers Insurance Open takes place Thursday-Sunday from Torrey Pines in La Jolla, California.
Bet on the Farmers Insurance Open
Jason Day 14/1
Day didn’t have a 2018 season to remember, but he was showing some promise toward the end of the year. He has finished in the top 20 in his last five events and placed 13th at the Tournament of championship in his only 2019 event thus far. Day is a two-time champion of this event and the defending champ. He also won this tournament in 2015. I expect Day to have another strong run this weekend and contend for his third Farmers Insurance Open title.
Tiger Woods 14/1
Nobody has been more successful in this event than Tiger. He is a seven-time champion, last claiming the title in 2013. Woods finally started to look like his old self in 2018, winning his first tournament in five years and moving from 656th in the world rankings to 13th. Last year, Tiger had one win with two runner-up finishes and a total of seven top-10 finishes. Woods looked a little fatigued to end 2018, but he has had some time off and should be able to start 2019 with a bang.
Brandt Snedeker 40/1
Snedeker is a two-time winner of this event and two-time runner-up. Despite that, he comes in with some longer odds because he hasn’t played particularly well over recent months. Snedeker did pick up a win in 2018 and he has made the cut in 12 straight events. Coming to a course that he is very familiar with and has had a lot of success at should help his confidence this week. I think he has a lot of value for this event.
